Psalmistry is Responsive

It is the smallest of notes.

Pay attention to something today, and then form a thoughtful response to it. It is what the Psalmists did, and it is our model. We don't have to fix everything. We don't have to be the smartest kids on the block. We don't have to understand it. But we can consider the stuff that comes at us, and then take a deep breath that inhales both the event and the Presence of God ... when we exhale we are participating in the first breath of the Psalms. Psalmistry is responsive.

Could I take only a moment to point out that our unique, thoughtful response in the presence of God is in no way related to simply absorbing and reacting to the comment feed on a Facebook post? This is done in a quiet space where only you and God are engaged.
