No Slot for You?

No Slot for You?

I often think that a corporate view of Christianity is what turns so many people off from discovering Jesus. For many, becoming a Christian or being a part of a Church is about getting into a certain slot: believer, member, volunteer, etc. And then for many of us in the same scene at Church or at our nine to five jobs we find ourselves having to fit in slots as well: manager, salesperson, director, counter, window, clean up, etc. This can, for many of us, start to wear us down. Why?

Many of us just don't feel like we fit in perfectly well-define, pre-formed slots. Not at work, and not in our spiritual journey. Not at school and not in our relationships either. We are all fluid folk transitioning from one thing to the next, from one new idea to the next, and from one firm belief to the next. Watch this short video I just shot thinking about you. Maybe it is not about what other people recognize you have done, but what you do with what you've got.
